Meadowbank Ferry Wharf
By popular demand it is back on again, an afternoon paddle of the Wrecks of Home Bush Bay!
Come and explore the wrecks and mangroves of Homebush followed by a munch at Meadowbank’s famous “Pizzeria Locale”. We will be meeting at 1.00pm at the Meadowbank wharf and launching from the small beach beside the rail bridge. You can use public transport (ferry or Train) or if driving there is unlimited parking on site. From there we will paddle across to Homebush Bay that is now the final resting place to several cargo and naval ships. Sitting in the shallow waters of the bay they have become artificial islands supporting mangrove trees and nesting sea birds. The wrecks also present some great photo opportunities. For more info on the wrecks check out this article from AFLOAT;
